I just did my first Comparison Audit. When TQAudit compared the Word douments for the jobs in this audit, the track changes showed up backwards. What should have been red (for deleted) was showing up blue (for inserted) etc.
This doesn't make sense to me. Shouldn't the track changes work the same way no matter what kind of audit I do?
Hi Candy, You are absolutely correct, the track changes colors and styles should work consistently across the different types of audits.
I suspect that the problem stems from the naming of the files (the word documents). For each job being audited, the name of the original document needs to come before the name of the final document, alphabetically, although they both need to start with the same of characters that is unique to that job.
For example, for job AAA, you could name the two documents as follows: Original document: AAA (1234).doc Final (edited) document: AAA (5678).doc
I'm sorry you continue to have trouble with this issue. I think that some times computers don't always agree in what is correct alphabetical order.
Please name the documents as follows:
Original document: ...... AAA (1).doc Final (edited) document: AAA (2).doc
I think that should make it completely clear to the software what your intention is as far as which document is the original and which is the final edited version.
Please let me know if you continue to experience further problems with this issue.
